Watering Can card

I found these wonderful templates at Waltzing Mouse.   I was suffering from severe lack of mojo the last two weeks and this site really inspired me.  I had decided to make this watering can before the I saw the challenge for Polka Doodles this week.  I am also entering this card in the 2S4Y challenge because I didn’t want to do a regular card.  I used Stampin Up stamps and I made satin flowers.

I hope you like it.

Thanks for your kind comments and feedback.

Mother’s Day Card #3

I warned you!  It’s the third installment.  I made this card for my Mother-in-law, who is good at everything (so my husband says as he complains how I am not good at this stuff) such as cooking, cleaning and, especially, sewing.

I thought the challenge at Polka doodles this week was perfect for this card.  We had to do the card monochromatically.  I chose green.

The paper is from My Minds Eye.  The thread stamp from Unity, and the sentiment from Peachy Keen.  I used Nestabilities from Spellbinders for the rectangle cuts.  The solid green paper was embossed using the buttons border folder.  I hand stitched the zig-zag (not good at sewing remember!).  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the doily.  The head of the pin looks white, but I inked it green.  I also inked the edges and inside of the paper I stamped with green ink so it qualified for the challenge.

I hope you like it.

Mother’s Day card #2

I have 4 mother’s day cards to make.  You’ve seen one on the previous post.  This post has one, prepare for two more to follow.

I made this card using this weeks challenge format at 2 Sketches 4 You.

This card is for my baby sister who became a mother last December.

All the stamps used are from Peachy Keen Stamp’s Mother’s Day set.  I cut the branch using Joy of the Season cart and the leaves using the Heritage cart.  Paper is from K & Company.  I inked the leaves with green ink and ran them through the cuttlebug using the grass embossing folder (did the branch that way too, and inked the edges with brown ink).  It’s hard to see, but I used a sparkle gel pen on the flowers to add a little something extra.

I hope you like it.

Thanks for your kind comments and feedback!

Mother’s Day card

I made this card using inspiration from the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge.  We had to use green, cream and purple, as well as gain inspiration from three photos they provided.

I used my Peachy Keen Mother’s Day stamps (love them!).  The paper is from K & Company’s Best of series.  I used cuts from the Paisley (flower, center, butterfly and wings) and Heritage (leaves).  Glitter on the flower and butterfly is from Martha Stewart.

The flower and leaves were cuttlebugged using the swirl and grass embossing folders.  I used pop dots to raise up the flower, and attached the butterfly wings on the center side only so I could raise up the wings.

On the inside of the card I cut a 1 1/2″ tall piece of the patterned paper used on the front.  Then, using my Peachy Keen stamps, stamped some images and a sentiment.

I hope you like it.
