Haunted Bird House

Last week on BBTB2 they had a challenge to use make a haunted house.  Well, not to many people entered so they are extending it AND offering blog candy!  And this week Polkadoodles is asking us make something spooky.

I decided to participate, but did not want to make your typical haunted house.  So, I made a spooky bird house instead.

The bird house is cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cart, the birds from the Home Decor cart, the witches hat and cape form Paper Doll Dress Up and I can’t figure out which cart I used for the moon and stars.

I used a web stamp stamped with white ink and embossed with sparkle powder.  The Moon was sent through my Xyron wrong side up and sprinkled with Martha Stewart Glitter.  Crystal Stickles was used on the stars and I used a stardust pen on the hat, cape and bird house.

I hope you like it!

Witches Head treat box

I found this super cute template at Waltzing Mouse Stamps.  I’ve been meaning to make it for a Halloween decoration and this weeks Polka Doodle challenge gave me the excuse.  We were to make something that contained something hidden.  The witches hat opens up to put a treat in!  I  love it!  I used Bazzill paper, a spider web stamp from Stampabilities, ribbon from Joann’s, pattern paper for the buckle from Cloud 9 Design and the fuzzy ribbon on the hat came in a Bo Bunny Halloween Kit.  I used my Cricut to cut the circles and scallop for the hat, Plantin Schoolbook and Home Accents carts.  Unfortunately, I forgot to draw the face on until after I put together the box, so it doesn’t look the best.  But she’s a witch so I guess she’s not supposed to be stunning, right?!

Thanks for looking!

I appreciate your comments and feedback!

Spider treat bag

This week at Peachy Keens new “Faces” challenge we were supposed to make a Halloween treat bag of some sort.  I made this spider using a welded circle cut from Plantin Schoolbook cart.  I placed the pipe cleaner legs inside the circle sandwich with the treat bag and taped them down.  I added crystal Stickles to the body make it stand out.   The head is a punched circle mounted with pop dots.  I stamped the face with Peachy Keen faces in white ink and added a bow.  I am having a hard time keeping my kids from ripping it open!

I hope you like it.

Thanks for your kind comments and feedback!
