Cricut Circle/Cosmo Cricut Magazine Challenge

Hello!

I am a member of the Cricut Circle and this month they are having a challenge involving Cosmo Cricut.

I needed to use 2 Cosmo Cricut products, 3 cricut cuts and a cuttlebug folder.

I used the Cosmo Cricut Garden Variety paper, which inspired me.  I didn’t want to do a card, and I have no idea how to do layouts. So….a recipe box.

I used From My Kitchen cartridge to cut out the vegi’s, toaster, pot, oval and word.

The dot Cuttlebug folder was used on the corn to make it look like kernels.

I inked the edges of all cut outs and attached them with Modge Podge.

Hope you like it!

Cosmo Cricut contest

Hello, again!

Saw a posting for a contest from Cosmo Cricut so I thought I would enter.

The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricut.

Solid paper is Bazzill

Stamps, ink, jewelry punch and twine are from Stampin UP!

Scallop punch from Ek

Daisy border punch from Martha Stewart

Daisy embossing folder from Cuttlebug

Pink ribbon from Michaels

Grandfather card

This is a vintage style card I made for my father-in-law.  I used Waltzing Mouse Text-it stamp set as well as a Michaels $1 stamp.  The patterned paper is from K & Company that was embossed with the swirls Cuttlebug folder.  I antiqued the card with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink (which mixed with the chocolate chip Stampin UP ink and gave the backgrounds a real cool red tint), and distressed the edges with scissors.  The die cuts are made with Spellbinders and the Cuttlebug.  The ribbon is from Archievers.

Easter Eggs and Flowers

Hello!  I haven’t been slacking off.  I have been creating, but just can’t seem the find the time lately to take pictures and/or post!

I made these Easter Eggs for a table decoration at my in-laws.  They were super easy and pretty cute if I say so myself!  I used different designs of paper tape to cover the eggs and sealed it with Modge Podge.  Then made flowers with McGills botanical lily punch, copic markers and decorative top straight pins.

Hope you have a Happy Easter!

Cupcake birthday

It’s my daughters 10th birthday today!  I can’t believe I have 2 children in double digits.   I made her card using Waltzing Mouse sketch for this week.  I really loved how it turned out!  I used patterned paper from DCWV’s In the Kitchen stack, the cupcake and sentiment stamps are from Waltzing Mouse’s Frame It set and inks ( Chocolate Chip, Delightful Daffodil,  Mambo Melon) are from Stampin Up.  Easy Peasy, but very pretty.

Bridal Shower Mini Album

This is the most ambitious project I have done (although stayed tuned for a future entry).  My sister-in-law is getting married (you may remember I recently posted the invitations I made for her) and I decided to make an album of her bridal shower for her.  I am not a scrapbooker.  Cards are what I spend most of my time working on.  That being said – I really had fun putting this together!  It took a long time but I want to make another one.

Materials:

1)Shaped chipboard album (can’t remember who it’s by)

2)Cricut

3)Gypsy Font, Lyrical letters, Home decor, Plantin Schoolbook and Sweet Treats cartridges

4)Stampin’ UP Stamps, punches, inks, paper and pearls

5)K & Co Best of Barbara Walton paper, Bazzil Bling paper, My Minds Eye Lost and Found Collection, Making Memories Je t’adore collection, open stock paper, Bo Bunny Double Dot

Fire truck birthday card

Hello!  I made a boy (or girl, if she likes fire trucks!) birthday card following this weeks Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge.

I used Stampin Up Good Neighbors stamp set for the houses, trees and sentiment.  The fire truck is a digital stamp from Waltzing Mouse that you can find in the Help for Katie donation set (see the side bar for info).  I colored the truck using Copics and hand cut the road.

Thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly sympathy card

Wow!  The holidays have kept me from my crafting – I am in withdrawal mode!  I finally found an excuse because my husband’s hairdresser’s father died and he needed a sympathy card to give her.

I used the Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge this week as my jumping off point.

I used Because I Care hostess set, Teeny Tiny Wishes, God’s Blessings, Butterfly punch, solid paper and inks from Stampin Up.  The Squares were cut using Spellbinders dies.  The paper is from The Best of Barb Walton.  After stamping the flower images in Concord Grape ink I colored them in with Copic markers.  After they were colored I inked the flowers with versamark ink and embossed the images with sparkle powder.  The butterfly was made by punching the image in Concord Grape and the patterned paper. Then I applied the versamark ink to the top layer of the butterfly and embossed again with the sparkle powder.  The doily is a Martha Stewart punch.

Great Big Hugs

It seems the majority of my family has birthdays the last half of the year.  So, another birthday card from me.  This one is for my 90-year-old Grandmother.  I decided to follow the Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge this week.

The Kraft, yellow and red paper is from Recollections.  The inks are from Stampin Up.  I trimmed one edge of the top flap of the card with a scallop punch, then ran the red and yellow papers through the cuttlebug in the circles and swiss dot folders.  The yellow paper is overlayed with a sheer yellow ribbon for Two Spellbinder die #14 were used for the cut out.  They were stamped with the Waltzing Mouse coordinating stamp set then colored with Copics.  The oval was cut out of the second stamped image, then the sentiment and “underline” were stamped within it and popped up with dimentionals.  A little bit of bling finished off the front.  The inside is stamped and embossed with a sentiment as well.

Childs birthday card

My niece has her 7th birthday coming up in a few weeks.  I decided to use my new Waltzing Mouse stamp set on this card, as well as the Stamping 411 sketch for this weeks challenge.

I decided to use fun colors that reminded me of sweet things to eat.  The pattern papers are from DCWV’s Nana’s Kids.   As already mentioned, I used Waltzing Mouse Frame It stamp set and Copics to color.
