Well, I’m not sure why I thought I would find more time to craft once the kids went back to school!? Anyway, I squeezed in one of the many challenges I wanted to do this week – 2S4Y. The sketch fit in perfectly for the card I made for my manager whose father died last week. I used the Stampin Up butterfly punch to make four butterflies. Then I layed them out on paper towels and got them very wet with a spray bottle. Then I used blue and orange ink with a waterpen to get the effect. After letting them dry I curled the edges and overlapped them. Then I put a brad through the center and added some silver Stickles in the center. Then attached it to the card with dimensionals. I learned this from my oh so crafty Stampin Up demonstrator and friend, Carol Fothergil. I used a Cricut cut from the Storybook cart and ran it through a cuttlebug folder (I had to modify the cut a little to get the shape to line up the way I wanted in the folder!) . I also added some Crystal Stickles to the corners of the card on the embossing. The saying is a Stampin Up stamp on one of their punches, then layered on another punch from Fiskers that I inked around the edges. I used Bazzill Bling cardstock.
Thanks for your kind comments and feedback!

Hi- I am looking for contact info for Carol Fothergill. I googled her and a comment you made on your blog mentioned her. I live in St. Louis and I want to buy something from Stampin Up for my Mom for Christmas. We saw an example today at a Vendor Blender — I think it was called the “Big” something — it created beautifully embossed paper — she is still doing her embossing the “old fashioned” way. Can you help me?
Your work looks gorgeous!
Thanks,
Leigh
