Grateful card

This weeks 2S4Y challenge offers a unique prize…a spot as a designer!  Well, of course I have to try!

Polka Doodles also has a fun Summer Theme challenge this week suggested by Enfy (she is one of my favorites!).  Her blog is Going Buggy, go visit because her creations are gorgeous and she is soooo funny!

This is the sketch to base the card off of:

Stampin’ Up stamps, inks and punch: Petal Pizzaz, A Beautiful Thing and Falling Leaves sets.

Paper from k&i.

Martha Stewart Botanical Punch.

Ribbon from Michael’s.

I Cuttlebugged part of the flower and the leaves.  I also used a glue pen to outline fine detail in the center of the flower and then added glitter.  Finally, I used pop dots to pop the flower up.  I also used a Stampin’ Up flower punch for the tiny flowers along the side of the card then used a Stardust pen to accent them.  For the ribbon, I used embroidery floss to cinch sections together.

I hope you like it.

Thanks for your kind comments!

It is hot here in St. Louis.  Which is an understatement when the heat index was 108 degrees today and supposed to be 110 tomorrow.  It’s not just the heat either,  the humidity makes it feel like a sauna.  These types of temperatures make me wish I had a desk job.  However, the Spring and fall make it wonderful to be out and about!

Take care!
